Lonely Pencil

I cropped this photo so that the end of the pencil was at the corner, drawing the eye across the right side of the photo and adding depth.
Pencils are fun to work with, and I like using different angles with my camera.

Butterfly on a Daisy

This butterfly stayed on the same flower for quite a while.  After quite a few shots at different angles, this turned out to be my favorite.

The Arizona Tea Line-Up

Arizona Tea, as I've said before, is my favorite drink.  My mama once let me buy four cans (and, no, I didn't drink them all in one day!) for $0.79 each at ALDI!

Phase 10 Stack

My brother, grandma and I sat around the table to play Phase 10 a few nights ago.  We got to phase 7 before calling it quits and heading to bed.  It was around 11PM, and we might have been getting a tad too excited. 

Cards are fascinating to take photos of.  I like the horizontal lines and the sometimes uneven edges they have.  The torn or ragged edges around them remind me of how I put the corners of the cards in my palms and rub them around (Strangely, I tend to have itchy palms.  It's so weird!  Haha.)

Vibrant Jewelry

I received this necklace as a Christmas present, but my Mama likes to "steal" it from me sometimes.  For this shot, I jumbled the necklace into a small pile on the railing of our porch when the sun was going down.  I used a macro setting on my dSLR, and got down almost at eye level.  The colors and cropping draw the eye from one corner of the photo to the next, creating interest.

Puppy Eyes

This sweet little puppy is Anna  (named after the girl from a movie called Frozen).  She lives with some friends of mine and four other dogs.  She is an adorable "little teddy bear" as my friend calls her.  I wanted to capture the love and innocence in her eyes with this photo.  I edited it with sepia to keep the brown color of Ana's coat, and cropped the photo down to just her eyes.
